I just want this room done. Every time I walk through it I stop, get frustrated, put on or take off my shoes and walk away. This needs to be a happy fun spot in the ol' hacienda since we enter & leave the home through this space. Here is where I am at now.
My totally awesome & kick ass lights from Visual Comfort finally arrived. Say hello to my 3 extra-large Hicks pendants in polished nickel. Aren't they lovely?
They are lined up perfectly with the transom windows on the doors, it might have taken a bit and my electrician might think I am crazy but it is just right.
On a side note, love the adorable small Hunters next to my big old black ones, they make me giggle every time I see them.
Now onto the wall treatment. This space is too bland, I want to funk it up (but it still has to appeal to the Hubs) so here are my options for paper that we both (somewhat) agree on.
{opt 1}
Hexagono by Tres Tintas
A bit busy but with frames added to the walls it would get broken up.
{opt 2}
Light & Bright by Brewers
This is the Hubs favorite, but for some reason my sample is reminding me of fall & Halloween.
{opt 3}
Hepburn by Kuboaa
Here it is in a virtual room, this image is the main reason why you always want to order sample, it may look blue but nope, it showed up black & white.
{opt 4}
I wish. I love this one by Jordi Labanda but it got shot down faster than I can say 'babe'...
Which choice is your fave for the room? I will be adding fun pillows to the bench seating, frames in a contrasting accent color (thinking orange or red), and of course a durable rug that I will most likely keep neutral. Would love to hear your thoughts...I really want this room done, as in done like dinner! Mel xo

One :))) I am getting the same Halloween vibe from two .I love the hicks pendents in polished nickel , LOVE!!!
Gosh I LOVE LOVE LOVE those pendants! They look great! It's so hard to choose a wallpaper. My first choice is the Light & Bright, but it reminds me a fall, too. That's nice now, but it might not be so fun in the summer. My second choice is the Hepburn. The straight lines compliment the cabinetry in the space and keep the eye going up and down. That's my two cents, but I am sure I will love whatever you choose!
The pendants are perfect!
I love Option 2... I like the organic feel of the trees with the modern lights, and a nice transition from outside for a mudroom. I would go with red as the accent rather than orange to prevent the Halloween-ey vibe!
Good luck finishing up.
Melissa, LOVE those pendants! The oversized scale is perfect.
I really like the Hepburn. The Hexagano reminds me of the Hicks Hexagon (did you visit that one? I think it comes in a few colourways?). The Light & Bright also reminds me of the Woods paper.
Either way, this is one awesome mud room!
The pendants are killer. My fave too.
I like the Hepburn. You are one gutsy gal with that last one though! Looking forward to seeing the finish.
opt 3!
Lilac and Grey
The pendants look fantastic. Option #3 is my fav.
I'm so obsessed with the lighting I can hardly pick a wallpaper. Love them all, but my first instinct was #3. Can't wait to see what you choose!!
I like option one. You have all the built-ins so it will break it up like you said. You'll have to save the last photo for your girl space. I would have gotten an eye roll on that as well from my mister. The pendants are spot on!! Do you watch Flipping our with Jeff Lewis? His paper in his office is great! Enjoy your day!

Love the bity Hunters!!
The lights look great! I like 'option 3'. I find the first opyion just a tad too busy, disorienting. I thyink 3 is a nice large pattern, and not overpowering. I definitely would stay away from the woodsy ones, you have already done that elsewhere in the house.
I would definately go for the Hepburn. It's classic but with a hip vibe to it. Plus it would be great with a photo gallery on top of it.
Now I just need to figure out where I can use those pendants!
I'm leaning towards 3. I do like the trees, especially from afar, but close up, they are a little sleepy hollowish.
The lights, oh, the lights... pure perfection in your mudroom! I would be picky about their placement too! For the wallpaper, I'd go with 1 or 3. I think you'd get tired of 2 quickly. Love 4 also, but know it's out of the question with your hubs.
in love with the over-the-top pattern + floral room. Timid space owners step away!
i'm scared. it is so beautiful the way it is. i know i'm no help.
love them all... the room is fabulous... congratulations...xx pam
This is an amazing space! Those light fixtures are to die for! I'm loving #3 but really any of them would look fab :)
love the trees, but i see your point. i lean towards option 1. love the pendants!! looks like things are coming along great to me!
I lean towards #1, too. Probably a shock coming from me!
LOVE the pendants!!!
No... I meant #3!!
The Hicks Pendants look AMAZING! We love seeing what talented designers like yourself do with our products. The entire space looks fantastic. Our vote goes to the Hexagon wallpaper.
its 3 for me
Oh my Jonas...that room is utter perfection...seriously my dream come true...the transom and the pendants...I'm seriously insanely jealous- love love love. And the wallpaper...my vote is definitely number one- adore adore...that numero 4 is insanely fabulous as well...men!
Love the moulding! And those pendants are awesome too! I'm voting #3. I think it will go well with the square angles in the room and make the room feel taller. You've used tree wallpaper in the kids bath so I wouldn't want to repeat it.
Holy smokes those lights are amazing! I love that you did three of them lined up with the transoms. Simply stunning. And I choose Opt. #3! Can't wait to see it finished.

I like the Light & Bright and the Hepburn. Yes, you've done trees elsewhere in the house but trees here as well may bring some continuity. Definitely stay away from orange if you do the trees though. On the other hand the Hepburn is quite nice. Would look fab with some great cushions on the bench seating.
I don't care for the Hexagon myself, I get a headache just looking at it. I'm thinking the Hepburn is my number 1 choice! :)
option 1...so love the shapes with the shape of those DELICIOUS LIGHTS!
I am jealous of that room. Those pendants - to.die.for...as for wallcovering: #1 darling. By far the best, I am partial to black and white but I think it would look fabulous in that space!
I like options 1 and 3. I believe I saw option 3 in different colorways on Sarah 101 and Tommy called it a video game pattern. So many great choices, you've got the Hunters so the mudroom is close to perfect already!
I know we mentioned building me a house but can I just live in here?
Oh my, that is the mudroom of my dreams. Seriously-- amazing. I would vote for number 1 or 3-- either would look stunning. Can't wait to see what you choose!
Its #3 for me for sure; reminds me of my wallpaper in my dining kitchen/dining room.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the lights. Fabulous as always!!
Hey You the lights look so Awesome and thanks for letting me in on Visual Comfort found so many great lights for the new Show Room.
I love #3
I know we discussed this evening. But now with my review I definitely stand by my choice of #1.
WAD (without a doubt!) Lurvs it. :)
LOVE option #1!
