Seriously so busy, can't.see.straight. Why is now that I decided to give up the sauce till we leave for Maui next month? Oh well, it is what it is and I made a promise to myself so I am sticking through it, thanks mostly to the massive amounts of coffee I have been consuming as of late. Altadore I is in full swing, hardwood is being laid as we speak, the tile has all been ordered, and the finishers are starting the cabinetry today. Here are a couple of concepts I have going on in there...
One of the walls in the kitchen is above, well, my rough, very rough sketch of it. And below are my selections for this area of the home. OH, and haven't been this excited about a kitchen since our own...and I think I am MORE excited about this one, how is that possible?!
Counters: Caeserstone in Raven
Back splash: White sub-way with dark grey grout
Perimiter Cabinets: Lacquered Benjamin Moore White Dove
Island: 1/4 sawn vertical grain oak with custom stain
Cabinet Hardware: Richeleu
Lighting: Visual Comfort Boston Functional Wall

PS. how is the diet going? I haven't lost a lb!! ugh
DYING ging to rock my world!
I love those lights for the kitchen - and sympathise with your abstention: I stopped drinking in November - but the bright side is I lost a ton of weight without thinking about it. Downside is dinner parties are unbearably dull.
I have been following you for some time and I was inspired by some silver pillars flanking your cooktop in one of your home photos a while ago. I always admired the look and I found some to go in my kitchen and took photos of it! Thank you for being a design inspiration! You can check out my latest blog entry if you want to see! I linked back to your photo on Pinterest as well as this site! :)
LOVE. can i move in?!
So beautiful Melissa. Good to be busy, but sounds a little mad in your world!!!
P.S. I am giving your name to Avenue magazine - one of the web editors I know over there is doing a round-up of Calgary blogs and I am sending him a short list of the 5 or 6 locals I follow. I must admit I am bad at commenting, but I do always come by for a look!
