Altadore I: Upper Level

We are finally starting to get into a routine around here at the cabin so I am able to find the time to share some more images with you of Altadore I. Have I mentioned how much I loved this home? I never met the owners, which is a first for me, I usually work closely with clients throughout the whole process, but this being a spec home I was doing it all on my own. I hope they love the details and little touches I put in throughout the home, it truly was a labor of love for me.

{master bath}
The master bath has vaulted 13' tall ceilings...it was amazing. For the vanities I designed a furniture style vanity constructed out of vertical grain 1/4 sawn oak. It is topped off with Caesarstone, Kohler faucets in Vibrant Brushed Bronze, and stunning Visual Comfort lights...it was a calming and inviting oasis.

{laundry room}
The washer & dryer are stacked across from this cabinetry with a sink located to the right of it. To maximize space I incorporated a handing bar, upper cabinets for soap storage, and large hamper bins below.

{main bath}
This home is on the smaller side and storage is limited so I incorporated large towers on each side of the vanity. If I could have I would have done a fun wallpaper in this bath but considering it was a spec home and I already pushed the envelope for Calgary with this home I had to hold back...but hint hint new owners, a great graphic wallpaper would be awesomeballs in here!!

{powder room}
The powder room is actually off the main level of the home, it has 13' ceilings so it needed something great. It is the bath your guest use and it should have a WOW factor & be intimate. I had the finishers use 4" tall strips of alder from floor to ceiling on two of the 4 walls. The vanity is floating off the floor with the same detail wrapping it so it flows into the wall. It turned out amazing and always had a great reaction from everyone that saw it in person.

Next week, the main level...and let me tell you, it is fabulous! Saving the best for last you could say. OK, I am off to hit the lake with my boys, it is all about family time while we are down here...that and staying cool in this heat! Mel xo

Wow, jaw dropping! The master bath is stunning, and a wallpaper would look amazing on that main bath.

Very interesting design. Is that area rug in the main bath or floor tiles?
