Our Home {exterior}

We had the exterior of our home photographed for our web site literately hours before winter decided to show up here in Calgary. Since fall is my favorite time of the year I thought it was the perfect time to capture the place I call home.

Since we are nestled in the trees it is hard to get a clear full shot of the front, and let me just tell you, forget about getting a pic of the back...trees galore!! We can literately stand on our deck and touch the towering aspens, it is so peaceful and I love it.

I know I haven't shared much from the interior, and you have asked, but I am have yet to have professional images taken. Since there are sites like Pinterest & Decorpad I just don't feel comfortable sharing image of our home without them being done properly and with the right lighting. But I do hope to share some with you soon, don't worry!

So that is the home I share with my boys, it is proving to be a wonderful house with amazing memories being made daily...and I am finally feeling 'at home' here. Have an amazing weekend all!!! Mel xo

what a lovely little love shack. Being nestled in the trees sounds so nice. I'm adding that to my bucket list.

It is GORGEOUS! oh, and your trees, your glorious trees! When we moved to our place, the realtor and previous owners were commenting on how many lovely trees they planted. They are twigs, Melissa. Nothing more. I'm one of those people who wants to see more of the interior-looking forward to it!

FABULOUS!!! Would love just a ROUGH SKETCH floor plan so we can know "what" is "where"! I too am one who can't WAIT to see the finished inside. Keep the pictures coming :)!!!

It's stunning (no surprise there)! I love the mix of materials you used, it looks so natural in that setting. Love! Can't wait to see pics of the finished interior.

Beautiful! Seeing your house makes me want to custom build our own, but I'm so torn because I love our neighborhood so much.

Heaven forbid you should publish pictures that are not just perfect...wouldn't want them all over the internet imperfect and all...how pretentious of you...I have stopped following ...you are everthing that is wrong with blogging...and this is the first negative comment I have ever made in the many years I have been following blogs...good for you

Wow - the house is gorg but then I knew this since I have seen it in person! :) However, I do have a bone to pick and sorry if this is the wrong forum to do it in. But how DARE you put up professional pictures of your home (aka your work) on your blog. Seriously, how DARE you put your best foot forward in a public forum that also acts as a marketing tool for your custom home construction business. I cannot fathom how you could put up pictures that showcase the best features of your home, your work and your design skills.

Next time, for myself and especially Frances, please put up pictures that do you a disservice, make your work look subpar and make us (me and Frances) feel better about ourselves by bringing yourself down a notch.

Thank you!

Courtney

(said in complete jest)

Courtney that is a very clever way of getting to say what you really think by putting a "just in jest: at the end..Glad you actually agree with me..Now you have a nice day :)

Would you be willing to share where you got your beautiful front doors? Are they something that could be ordered from Idaho, USA?
